Stagecoach Peterborough

Welcome to Stagecoach Peterborough!

Our Saturday morning musical theatre programs involve dancing, singing, acting and most importantly, building confidence!

We have 2 classes: Early Stages (ages 4-6) and Main Stages (ages 6-18).  The Main Stages program is split into 3 smaller classes for optimal learning and for students to make new friends.

Stagecoach Peterborough is regularly offered performing opportunities in Peterborough (Harlem Globetrotters, The Town Trolley, Barnardo House Charity) and in Toronto with Stagecoach Canada.

Check out the below links and our Facebook page for photos and videos of our classes! Hope to see you soon!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

Main Stages (for ages 6-16 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, while at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Principal - Edward Cockerton

Edward is a life-long lover of the arts, starting at 3 years old with the piano.  He has directed and accompanied musicals for all levels of education including: Seussical the Musical, Aladdin Kids, Jungle Book Jr., Shrek Jr., Lion King, Guys and Dolls, and The Aristocats.  In 2011, he graduated from Red Deer College in Alberta with a Diploma of Music in Voice and Piano and completed the Musicians' Mentorship Program for Ballet Accompaniment at the Canada's National Ballet School in 2014.  His versatility has allowed him to perform all over Canada from jazz clubs in Montreal to fundraisers for the Premier of Alberta in Calgary.  Edward continues to inspire students in ballet studios, kindergarten classrooms and theatres with his passion for the arts and he hopes Stagecoach Peterborough students gain confidence in their lives as they explore singing, dancing and acting.
