Effective April 2026

 

Please read this agreement carefully. By enrolling a student in any Stagecoach program, the parent or guardian agrees to the terms set out below. This is a legally binding agreement that remains in effect for the duration of enrolment.

 

Each Stagecoach school is independently owned and operated under franchise from Stagecoach Canada.


Your rights by province

Nova Scotia

Your rights are protected under applicable provincial consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act (Nova Scotia). Where statutory rights apply, those rights will take precedence over this agreement.

Ontario

Your rights are protected under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002. Any applicable cancellation, disclosure, or notice requirements under Ontario law will apply and will override this agreement where applicable.

Quebec

This agreement is intended to comply with the Consumer Protection Act (CQLR c P-40.1) and Law 25. Where Quebec law provides greater rights or protections, those rights will apply in full.

British Columbia

Your rights under applicable British Columbia consumer protection legislation apply in full. Nothing in this agreement limits those rights.

Alberta

Your rights under applicable Alberta consumer protection legislation apply in full. Nothing in this agreement limits those rights.

Definitions

Programs / Activities — All classes, courses, workshops, camps, performances, and online sessions.
Course — Weekly, term-based performing arts training.
Camp / Workshop — Short-term or seasonal programming.
Term — A standard program period.
Principal — The operator of your local Stagecoach school.


Enrolment

Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. A deposit or full payment may be required at the time of enrolment (varies by program). All fees are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Your place is confirmed when you receive a Fee Note or Acceptance Confirmation.

Early Stages deposit: approx. $56
Main / Further Stages deposit: approx. $100
Camps and workshops vary. Deposits may change from time to time. Quebec residents: no non-refundable deposit is charged before services begin.


Cancellations & refunds

Deposit refund — all provinces

A deposit secures your child’s place in a program. You may cancel within 14 days of paying your deposit and receive a full refund, provided the program has not yet started. No reason is required.

Where applicable provincial law provides greater cancellation rights or longer timeframes, those rights will apply instead of this policy.


Province-specific cancellation rights

Ontario

Ontario law may provide additional cancellation rights depending on the type of agreement and timing of enrolment. Where applicable, statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 will apply in full and take precedence over this agreement.

Practical summary: You may cancel within 14 days of paying your deposit for a full refund, subject to applicable law. All cancellation requests must be made in writing to your local Principal.


Quebec

Quebec residents are protected under the Consumer Protection Act. Where applicable:

Practical summary: You are only charged for classes already attended, plus any legally permitted cancellation amount. Remaining balances are refunded promptly.


Nova Scotia

If you cancel within 14 days of paying your deposit, you will receive a full refund provided the program has not started. Where additional statutory cancellation rights apply under Nova Scotia law, those rights will be honoured in full.


British Columbia & Alberta

Our 14-day deposit refund policy applies. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under applicable provincial consumer protection legislation.


Workshops & Camps (outside Quebec)

The 14-day deposit refund policy applies in all cases and takes precedence over the schedule below.

After the 14-day period, the following applies unless otherwise required by law:

Where provincial law provides greater cancellation rights, those rights will apply.


Payments

We accept Visa, Mastercard, e-transfer and online payments. Late or declined payments may result in administrative charges.

Ontario: Full payment or instalment plans available
Quebec: Minimum two instalments required (start and midpoint of term)
Other provinces: Full payment upfront unless otherwise agreed


Trial classes & enrolment renewal

New students may be offered a 2-session trial before committing to a full term.

Where programs continue from one term to the next, enrolment may be renewed automatically unless cancelled by the parent or guardian before the end of the current term.

We will provide advance notice of renewal where required by applicable provincial law.

Some locations may require a deposit to hold your spot for the following term. 

To avoid renewal, families must opt out in writing by the communicated deadline for their location.


Health, safety & safeguarding

All Stagecoach staff undergo criminal record checks and vulnerable sector screening prior to working with students.

Parents and guardians must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or accessibility needs relevant to participation.

Our duty of care applies only during scheduled program times.

Late pickup may result in an administrative fee in accordance with the local school’s published fee schedule.


Online programming

Programs may be delivered online where necessary due to circumstances beyond our control.

Online sessions may be recorded for safeguarding, training, quality assurance, or incident review purposes. Recordings are retained for a limited period and are not publicly distributed.


Privacy

We comply with PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy laws, including Quebec Law 25.

Personal information is collected solely for program delivery, safety, emergency contact, and communication purposes.

You may request access to or correction of your personal information by contacting your local Principal.


Media & consent

Photos or videos may be taken during programs for promotional or marketing purposes.

Media use requires separate consent provided at enrolment. Parents and guardians may opt in or opt out of media use at any time by providing written notice to their local Principal.


Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Stagecoach is not liable for loss or damage to personal property.

Where liability applies, and subject to applicable law, it is limited to fees paid for the relevant program.

Nothing in this agreement limits liability for personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under law.


Conduct & discipline

Stagecoach reserves the right to suspend or remove a student from a program where behaviour presents a safety risk or is seriously disruptive. No refund will be issued in such circumstances unless required by law.


Program changes

We may adjust schedules, staffing, venues, or delivery methods where necessary. Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided and make-up classes or credits may be offered.


Absences

No refunds or credits are issued for missed classes due to illness, travel, or personal scheduling conflicts.


Pickup & supervision

Parents and guardians are responsible for timely pickup at the end of each session. Late pickup may result in an administrative fee in accordance with the local school’s published fee schedule.


Force majeure

Where events beyond our reasonable control occur (including severe weather, public health restrictions, or emergencies), programming may be rescheduled, delivered online, or adjusted as reasonably necessary. Refunds will not be issued where a reasonable alternative is provided, subject to applicable law.


Electronic acceptance

By completing enrolment electronically, you acknowledge and agree that electronic acceptance constitutes your legal signature and agreement to be bound by these terms.


Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the province in which the student is enrolled and applicable federal laws of Canada.


Entire agreement

This agreement, together with any enrolment confirmation or fee notice issued, constitutes the full agreement between the parties.
