Early Stages classes give children the opportunity to make new friends and have fun exploring each of the three musical theatre disciplines of singing, dancing and drama, as well as learning key life skills along the way.

Main Stages

(6 – 16 year-olds)

Main Stages classes are split in three age-appropriate groups, where children develop skills in the three musical theatre disciplines of singing, dancing and drama. These confidence-boosting classes see children build key life skills we call Creative Courage for Life®.

Further Stages

(14+ year-olds)

Our Further Stages give older students the chance to extend their performance skills. Through in-depth training, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting. We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Meet the team

Meet our Principal

Cadence Allen Crawley is the principal and owner of Stagecoach Hamilton East and Stagecoach Toronto East, having opened her first school in 2012. She holds a BA in Theatre Studies from Acadia and trained in Meisner Technique in NYC. With experience in acting, directing, and producing, she values arts education for its impact on young minds. As a mother of two, she champions drama camps and rehearsals for building teamwork, confidence, and lifelong creative courage.

The Teachers

  • Destinee Smith

    Drama

    Destinee (she/her) found her passion for acting in grade 9’s Footloose. She later moved to Toronto to study in Seneca College’s Acting program, training in stage, camera, voiceover, and dance. After graduating, she pursued auditions and background work before returning to university for Mental Health and Socio‑Cultural Anthropology. Now at Stagecoach, she aims to nurture creativity and build confidence in others.

  • Mark Rotil

    Drama, Dance, Singing

    Mark returns for his 4th year teaching at Stagecoach Hamilton. A St. Clair College Music Theatre graduate, he has performed across Ontario and done a comedy routine at Second City Toronto. His credits include roles in “The Book of Esther,” “A Chorus Line,” “Rent,” “We Will Rock You,” “Spring Awakening,” and “First Date.” Mark is excited to teach acting again this term.
