"Welcome to Early Stages, where our youngest stars shine bright! Our classes are tailor-made for budding performers ages 4 to 6, igniting their passion for singing, dancing, and acting in a vibrant and nurturing environment.

At Early Stages, we believe in the power of creativity and imagination. Through engaging lesson plans and performance based activities, we instill the fundamentals of musical theater while fostering Creative Courage for Life that will extend well beyond the stage. Our experienced instructors provide nurturing guidance, ensuring each child feels safe to explore their talents and unleash their inner star.

Main Stages (for ages 6-16 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Step into the spotlight with our engaging Main Stage programme tailored for students aged 6 to 16! Whether you're a budding star or new to the stage, this immersive 3-hour class caters to all levels of ability.
 
Divided into three, age-appropriate, stages, students rotate through their classes each week taught by passionate, experienced teachers excited to share their love of the arts!  Students spend an hour honing their vocal talents, another perfecting dance moves and technique, and a third diving deep into dramatic expression. This dynamic trifecta not only prepares you for dazzling performances but also boosts confidence in the classroom, sharpens public speaking prowess, and so much more to nurture lifelong creative courage. Each session is crafted to ignite creativity and build essential skills that go beyond the spotlight.

We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, while at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!  Join us and embrace your Creative Courage for Life!



Further Stages (for ages 14+ yrs)

Embark on a journey of artistic growth in our Further Stages programme, designed exclusively for teenagers aged 14 and up.  Whether you're dreaming of a career in theater, eager to explore your passion or simply looking to try something new, our inclusive and supportive environment welcomes everyone.

In Further Stages, we believe in nurturing not just performers, but confident individuals ready to take on the stage of life. Through ongoing training, performance opportunities and master classes, we help students to learn or enhance their skills in acting, dancing and singing, as well as life skills.  We're here to prepare you for the next chapter—be it post-secondary education or professional auditions—with expert guidance and personalized mentorship. Or, join us purely for the joy of learning, making friends, and discovering the power of the performing arts to boost your confidence and creativity.

Meet The Team

Principal - Carling Connor

Carling Connor brings over 20 years of experience in the performing arts as both a professional performer and educator. With strong family and community ties in the region, she is deeply committed to enriching the lives of local children through high-quality arts education.

Carling has spent the last eight years teaching within the Stagecoach Performing Arts network in the UK, where she gained a deep appreciation for the unique way Stagecoach fosters creativity, confidence, and life skills in young people. Her expertise includes directing stage productions and award-winning performances at both local and international festivals, and she has a particular passion for Musical Theatre and vocal development.

She holds an Advanced Diploma in Musical Theatre from Sheridan College in Ontario and a Postgraduate Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, where she focused on student engagement and music performance anxiety. Carling also continues to pursue professional development in areas such as inclusive education for neurodivergent learners and child-centered pedagogy.

Known for her warm leadership style, strong organizational skills, and dedication to excellence, Carling is committed to creating a vibrant, supportive environment where every child can thrive. She believes in the power of performing arts to build confidence, resilience, and teamwork—and is excited to bring this vision to families in Ottawa through Stagecoach.
